so what the hell is “terravapeur” anyway?! this all started back in october 2019 as a simple experiment for a comp submission... what if “intervapeur” went organic? what is “cyberpunk” w/o a grid? what if “ambient vapor” sounds got blown into the red? what does “meditation music” sound like to me, today? all these questions and more are what prompted “terravapeur” to be a thing. working w/ only a cell phone & some old pina & ethnic cassettes, I dove all in. the experiment quickly evolved from a single track comp submission into much more. after much experimentation.. 9+ albums & a few assorted projects later, we are here.. the final experiment within the experiment: this compilation. the concept for this project was simple: each participant received a custom rütRTL track which they were free to evolve into their thing, however they pleased. so what’s this all about? why? to get uncomfortable. plain & simple. in the process of stepping out of our insulated comfort bubbles, we expand.. & merge. I would like to add, that this mentality & energy was greatly fueled & inspired by many movements within the “scene.. most especially flap. take it or leave it. well, these are the results. and I think they’re just fucking wonderful. *I can’t possibly thank everyone enough. you know who you are, & I appreciate you all . this era has been a truly amazing & humbling one. here’s to the next.
