The “Opus Moderandi” project is dedicated to Opus audio format and its tremendous compression abilities. The main floppy disk features 1997 and 2017 versions of Aurora Digitalis broken in segments, which are gradually encoded within monophonic lobit range in ascending order using settings from 2kpbs (Segment I) to 19kbps (Segment XVIII).Bonus diskette contains high bitrate rendition of Faster, More Intense II from Nipponese Perfector album The Caveman’s Modular.Aurora Digitalis (Original 1997 Version)Aurora Digitalis (Akira Fukushima 2017 Treatment)Faster, More Intense II is a part of the experiments made with fast forwarding of magnetic tape on dismantled reel tape recorders.Original Aurora Digitalis is recorded on tape using electronic feedbacks generated by a closed loop from two reel tape recorders put in a recording mode while being fed through Lell guitar processor / reverb machine.New version is a result of special reprocessing conducted by Akira Fukushima.© 1997 Andy Nyxta© 2017 Akira Fukushima© 2020 Default Label Wroclaw
