Release exclusively available to supporters of the band's "Phase IV" Patreon fundraiser, who pledged $5 or more.Also released in MP3 format (EU Wahl 2019).On May 19, 2019, Einstürzende Neubauten announced that they would create a track with supporters' sound recordings of their way to the polling station for the 2019 European Parliament Election:"This is really only relevant for those of you who live in the EU and plan to vote in the EU Parliament elections next week (which if you are eligible to do so, we highly encourage you to vote!)Please record 5 minutes, audio only, of you going to your local polling station and submitting your vote. If you are not allowed to take your phone into the actual voting booth then just 5 minutes ahead of the actual vote. Please refrain from commenting on what is going on, or who you voted for. We trust that you are making a good decision ????Please upload the resulting audio recording to our dropbox folder.All band members will be doing the same here in Berlin, and we will listen to the recordings and try to make something out of them."On June, 12 2019, Blixa Bargeld posted the following explanation of the editing process:"We listened to all the files and in almost all of them it was possible to identify a couple of points:The Outside:Leaving the house / apartment etc. by foot / car / bicycle / public transport to get to the building where the voting is being held.The Inside:a) Entering the building, giving out identification (We took out all name and addresses.). In one of the files you can here an official giving advice: “Not to make any audio or video recordings.”b) In the voting booth: Lots of paper noises. We could identify a couple of crosses, we choose a clear one.c) The ballot box / giving of the vote (includes more dialogue).Leaving:This goes to the outside again and we kept it short. It ends at home, door closed , keys on the table.We aligned all these files according to these markers, edited them down (Some people had a very long way to the vote.), looked for interesting dialogue or moments of acoustical significance.We did not manipulate the time axis or sequence of events.Thanks to everyone for sending in their experience."
