Recorded on a 5 minutes endless loop tape."In this new issue, we take a deeper look at the variety of instances where Sunn equipment was used - either guitar and bass amplifiers or simple PA. We also examine the duality inherent to this use : these products were present both during pivotal events of the counterculture and, on a smaller scale, they were exploited daily by local bands which, for the most part, remain largely unknown today. In spite of this perceived separation, we can find in each case an essence which manifests in every model manufactured by the oregonian brand during its early years. Today, this essence still stands strong as an icon of raw, uninhibited, totally pure Rock & Roll. The audio part is recorded on a cassette. The magnetic tape is built specifically as a loop, which allows for thorough and extended listening of the subtle variations of frequencies and microtones intervening in the amplifier's sound. At first, it seems bare, sterile even. But it soon reveals a richer interaction, made of a surprising diversity of motions."
