Story

In 1968, the world was tearing itself apart. From the Tet Offensive in Vietnam to King and Kennedy's assassinations to the riots at the Democratic convention, hope was lost and nothing on earth seemed capable of restoring it. But on Christmas Eve, the first human beings to venture beyond earth's orbit returned images of our entire planet for the first time, revealing a world fragile and small but very much alive hanging between the lifeless horizon of the Moon and emptiness. What happened next fundamentally altered the course of humanity, instilling invaluable lessons, and helping us chart a course towards a future worth saving.
