Story
A dark, nihilistic parable about the foibles of the American Dream. Norman, a proxy for our own "always thinking of the bottom line, great-at-business, moneymaking wage-slave"-selves, is reduced to a grunting ape by circumstances that seem to him to be out of his control. Yet, the viewer can plainly see that for Norman, for us, there is only the cold indifference of the universe, laughing at us from the void. You will watch as he persists in holding on to some existential notion of "success" under the gaze of the unending suffering of that which we call "life," getting beaten down again and again, and yet he persists. He drives. Yes, "Welcome Back," indeed. To a hellish, unrelenting existence, until the sweet embrace of death finally graces his/our lips. Featuring a flying suitcase, a small airport, and a stunningly casual treatise on race at a baggage claim area.
