Story
This RTHK cultural program features 4 segments. Segment 1 "Theatre du Pif - Dance Me to the End of Love" is about local multicultural theatre group Theatre du Pif, which was set up by Sean Curran and Bonni Chan Lai-chu. This week they are performing a rerun of "Dance Me to the End of Love", their production that melds the songs of Leonard Cohen with Hermann Hesse's novel "Siddhartha". They talk to RTHK about how the play came about. Segment 2 covers "Mabou Mines Dollhouse" premiere in Hong Kong. Henrik Ibsen's "A Doll's House" shocked audiences when it was first performed, not only for its social commentary but for its departures from conventional structure.
