Story
A series of daring robberies and hold-ups occur in Cuga, Arizona. They seem to be the work of one lone bandit who has terrorized the neighborhood. Sid Burton, a Chicago detective, is sent to the far west to help the local sheriff capture the bandit. Upon his arrival in the west the detective is met by the sheriff, who takes him to his home. There he meets Edna, the daughter of the sheriff. Mutual affection springs up between the pair at first sight. Not long after the detective's arrival the express company is robbed again by the lone bandit. The detective finds the empty strong box which has been stolen from the express office and evolves a plan which, with the aid of the express agent, he carries out immediately. That day the sheriff is notified that the box stolen from the express company had a false bottom in it and that there were several bills of large denomination which undoubtedly escaped the robber's notice, and that the express company would give a handsome reward for the ...
