Story
The documentary feature film "The American People" presents a survey of everyday American citizens giving their thoughts on a range of contemporary political and social issues. Intercutting between real Americans from all walks of life, the film assembles their responses to create a fluid, concise, and contradictory dialogue emblematic of our contemporary culture. It's the topics in question (i.e. immigration, education) that drive the documentary forward, as opposed to any conventional narrative or central figure.
