Story
Ropa y Recuerdos (Clothing and Souvenirs) is one of many musical productions presented by Alma Latina, a non-profit 501c(3) group based out of California that promotes self esteem and cultural awareness through the medium of dance. The focus is on ballet Folklorico Mexicano, with dancers ranging in age from 3 years to adult. Dances are represented from over 12 regions in Mexico with the purpose of educating and promoting a pleasant, supervised experience for children and adults to learn the cultural and historical significance of Folklorico (music, tradition, costume, celebrations, etc), and the discipline of dance and appropriate social behaviors for involvement and participation in a group.
