Story
"Hero of the Day" - a song of Metallica from the 1996 album "Load". The song was first recorded on December 13, 1995, and was the first song recorded for the new album "Load". The song was also Metallica's second single for this album. A music video for the song was also shot. In the US Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, the came in first place. According to the article in Kerrang, before the release of "Load", the demo for the song was called "Moldy", due to the fact that the main riff, as James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich mention, is from the typical sounds of Bob Mold.
