Story
The war in Iraq and Afghanistan has been raging for years. Kathy and David Morris have left their son, Peter, home with Grandpa Morris and grandma Maybelline. David is a medivac helicopter pilot. Kathy is a nurse, unfortunately and unusually both on the same helicopter when it is shot down. The movie starts dramatically with guns blazing and explosions. The bad news is then brought to the family. Grandpa expects only one loss but is surprised to hear he has lost his son and daughter in law. Grandpa and young peter focus their energy on fixing the old car in the driveway. They have promised to take Grandma with them for a ride once they get it running. With the help of Charli, the southern mechanic girl next door they get her going. Alas just as she runs grandma fades away. It has been a long illness, she has heard the car run.
