Story
In the line of movies as King Ralph (1991), Los Japón is a comedy that starts with a tragedy: Emperor Satohito has died not having children nor heir to rule Japan. The Japanese government, looking for possible descendants around the world to accept the throne, find in the history books a history where in 1600 the son of the then Emperor traveled Coria del Río, a little town of Sevilla (Andalusia; south to Spain), falling in love of a Sevillian woman for never returning Japan. Investigating this family tree, the clues end pointing Paco Japón, a 37 years old Sevillian who lives with his family and his girlfriend Encarni, as new Emperor. Amazed and puzzled about these news, Paco, Encarni and the rest move Tokyo for living in the Imperial Palace in order to accomplish Paco's new responsibility as Emperor, but the complete ignorance of the language as well as Japanese customs and ways of Paco, Encarni and the rest will cause a successive mess behind another, turning upside-down life in the...
