Story
Several years ago, Tenro Horai, the leader of the Horai nation, dug up the Power of the Gods. The energy within the Power of the Gods gave Horai unimaginable powers, and her followers, the "Divine Ones", began conquering nations one after another. "The Chosen People" carried out these conquests in "the name of peace". A freedom federation known as Tenkaku challenged the Horai, but were soon defeated. Only one man survived. His name was Shinra. When he was shot down near the village Ikaruga, he was nursed back to health by the elderly people living there. A new fighter for Shinra was built, also known as the Ikaruga. The Ikaruga was no ordinary plane, it is the first fighter built that integrates both energy polarities, and is capable of switching between the two. With this new fighter, Shinra vows to defeat the Horai, and he is joined by Kagari, a former fighter for the Horai in the Ginkei.
