Story
San Diego's Rosecrans stretches between the haughty neighborhood of Point Loma, to Old Town, where two of San Diego's busiest freeways intersect. The intersection of Rosecrans and Midway is one of San Diego's busiest -- a fact not lost on the panhandlers. When the sun is out, which is often in this part of the country, it's not a rare site to see someone on each corner of the intersection waving a sign heralding the need for food, money, or employment. A group of high school students decided to meet some of these people that they pass on the street every day on their way to school and learn about how they ended up homeless on Rosecrans. Here are their stories in their own words.
