Story
ELIO (2010) highlights a day in the life of a Canadian man who had just retired and went on vacation to the Dominican Republic. After taking a short walk with his wife, they made a wrong turn and strolled into a world of poverty. Over 20 years later they are still there, building homes for families living in shacks. This short 3 minute film tells a long story about an amazing man, Elio, who dedicated his life to moving poverty stricken families into homes he builds in villages that include schools, churches and medical facilities. This brief look at one man's desire to make a difference will leave you with a warm feeling of hope.
