Story
The story takes place at the end of the 19th century, in a small rural village in Croatia. Aleksandar, a hunter, accidentally shoots a young girl who is picking flowers in the woods. In fear of the law, he refuses to help her, and the girl dies in front of him. His selfish act awakens the shrieker, an ancient Balkan mythical creature that comes to punish the evil doers.
