Story
Dev, a man of Indian extraction is so immersed in his Hollywood gossip magazine that he fails to realize he has wandered outside Toronto's downtown core into Little India, and he looks around as if he's landed on another planet. A storm forces Dev into an Indian convenience store, where he immediately makes for the magazine rack and takes comfort in the pages of a Western periodical. This activity does not sit well with the shopkeeper and the staff breaks into a Bollywood-style song and dance number warning against reading magazines in the store. The display of South Asian culture leaves Dev bemused, and he proceeds to commit a further error as he attempts to purchase a chocolate bar with a $20 bill. An equally elaborate musical routine erupts within the confines of the store. Dev makes a hasty departure, snatching a Hindi DVD from a shelf. The next day, Dev walks through a park, captivated by a Hindi cinema magazine. He soon encounters the beautiful Tricia, an Indian girl. His ...
