Story
A small North Carolina Appalachian community is forced by court order to integrate its high school in 1963 amid a South in turmoil during the U.S. Civil Rights Movement with widespread protests, bombings, deaths, and over 20,000 thousand arrests. Six teenage African-American players on the historic integrated football team have the "weight of the world on their shoulders" as the team and community navigate the season leading to the state championship game.
