Story
Whilst the precinct prepares a retirement party for Ivo, who never wanted to be pensioned off, the commissioner scolds Tom for his affair with Kathy, but her husband Lucas assures him that poses no professional problem. Attorney and gambler Maarten Timmermans (30) is found shot through the heart outside the Antwerp 'palace of justice' (grand courthouse). Only two hours later manager Geert Dehondt (29) is shot with the same gun on the steps of his Meir (shopping square) bank branch, after failing to recognize the killer, a bitter Antwerp law school year friend. Ivo is rewarded with permission to join the field investigation after finding both victims were partners in a law firm and made notary Michel Lafleur loose his divorce and visiting rights.
