Story
Departing first from camp 2, Team New Zealand leads the field as they arrive in darkness at the white-water rafting put in. Here they will be held until they can safely start in the morning, allowing all of the other front running teams to catch them. Team Bend Racing continues to recover and improve from their early race heat exhaustion and arrive at Camp 2 feeling stronger. Guatemalan Team Hombres d' Maize is desperate to replace a broken bike part, otherwise they will be forced to drop out of the race. Team Onyx and Team Khukuri Warriors build Bilibili rafts with the help of locals and plot their course downriver. Not far behind, last place Team Stray Dogs struggle to find a checkpoint in the darkness. At 6 AM the river rafting section opens and the front-running teams all push hard to conquer the white-water rapids in Leg 3.
