Story
Münster priest Gabriel, a former fellow rebel who got his vocation in jail, and his bishop, Katz, hire Wilsberg to investigate several crimes in St.Lambert's church. Gardener Herbert Fredernböck was dug up from the cemetery to put his bone inside the church's museum section, in a historical cage used to execute Anabaptists. An anonymous caller claims it's all the work of the revived heresy, whose Munsterland 'republic' was put down in bloodshed here five centuries earlier. Next a newborn is stolen from hospital and left on the church steps, then follow robbery and a hanging. Ekki's site date turns out the manager of an investment fund which plays a key part in a dirty plot of fraud and abuse involving sanctimonious scrooge contractor Walter Moorwessel, his daughter Mareike and her adolescent son Tobias and his friend, Walter's tenant, farmer Vosshövel.
