Story
Josh arrives in Payson City to pick up his prisoner to transport to Allenton for trial. The less than friendly Sheriff Tom Brice to bounty hunters brings the prisoner out to the surprised Josh. the prisoner is the beautiful Susan Marno who is a partner with Lawrence Thayer on whom the bounty has been doubled. Josh takes care to use a safer route as Thayer is said to be in the area. The relationship between them is frosty that evening at camp. Josh tries to be kind but doesn't fall for her attempt to knock him out with a rock. The next day a rain storm forces them to take shelter in an abandoned homesteader's cabin. When they hear another horse, Josh worried it might be Thayer stops the man at gunpoint upon entering but is Nick Peters taking refuge from the rain. He has eyes for Susan who returns the looks. When Josh and Susan start to leave the next morning, Nick tries to take her but she aids Josh instead. The two find they love each other pushing Josh to make an unusual decision as ...
