Story
On a Saturday night Charlie Glover and Porter Fairchild are preparing to close the Traceyville Express Office when Porter invites Charlie to his home for a roast Mrs. Fairchild has cooked. Charlie turns down the offer saying he has an engagement in a nearby town apparently with a young woman. He wants to finish up some bookkeeping details before he leaves so Mr. Fairchild leaves him to his work. Once Mr. Fairchild leaves, Charlie pulls $10,000 from the safe into a carpet bag. The next morning after a knock on Josh's hotel room door, Charlie enters. He tells Josh he would like to hire him for $200 to accompany him to Traceyville. The request seems too simple to Josh so further questioning reveals that Charlie stole $10,000 which causes Josh to push him out of his room. Charlie re-enters stating that he wants to return the money before it is found missing Monday morning. The catch is that he had an accomplice but he doesn't know where he is.
