Story
The town of Bedrock is experiencing a rash of murders with people being strangled. The latest occurs while a traveling show is playing in Bedrock. Marshal Trace McCloud is at a lost in trying to catch the killer. Being a small town several of the people are scared so they decide to join the Hale wagon train which is in the area to leave the problem. This includes the marshal who is frustrated at not being able to solve the case as he is from a long family of lawmen. However, once the group joins the wagon train it is soon clear the killer has come with them as the streak of killings continue but with no obvious pattern. Guards are posted but the killing does not stop as new relationships are made including one that results in a false accusation as to who the killer is. Charlie is once again playing detective with his sights set on the traveling magician who came from Bedrock.
