Story
This documentary deals with directors whose work is currently widely forgotten:Maurice Tourneur (talkies),Anatole Litvak (French movies only),Raymond Bernard (whose 'Les Misérables" may be the best version of this classic).A short interlude with René Clair before Monsieur Tavernier pays a tribute to great composer Georges Van Parys .....who often wrote for Jean Boyer whose movies included lots of peppy songs in the thirties.
