Story
King Horik returns from Wessex with only one boat and his forces severely depleted. He tells Ragnar that Athelstan was killed in battle. He convinces Ragnar that they need to make peace with Jarl Borg as they need both his boats and his warriors if they want any hope of raiding Wessex. Rollo is sent to convince Borg to come to Kattegat. Siggy continues to act as a spy for Horik, saying she does so for Rollo. Bjorn takes an interest in a servant girl, Porunn. Lagertha has returned to her home only to face the wrath of her new husband. After a drunken feast, she is severely beaten by his men. In Wessex, King Ecbert entrusts Athelstan with a great secret.
