Story
Realtor Madeline Strong cares about her young-family clients. This care masks the pain she feels in her own family life. She continually dismisses her 16-year-old son Joshua. Unknown to him, it's because she gave up her first son Paul for adoption. Paul was born on the exact same day as Joshua 14 years earlier when Madeline was only 16. Madeline's relationship with her mother Mary became estranged over what Madeline saw as callousness in her mother over her teenage pregnancy. Othniel sends Madeline back 30 years to just before Paul's birth--in the guise of the adoption agent. Beyond trying to convince Mary to let Madeline keep her baby, she gets a chance to see how her mother really felt about the pregnancy. She also learns that there are long-term consequences to changing history.
