Story
An author who grew up in Kenya has always longed to build an African-inspired circular hut treehouse to share with his wife at their home in Washington State. Pete and his crew capture the spirit of Africa by creating a getaway with hand-hewn rustic cedar, a traditional thatched roof, and mud walls, all supported in a cluster of Douglas fir trees sitting 15-feet high and boasting a kitchen and tribal-themed interiors decorated with authentic Kenyan masks and spears from the client's personal travels. A fourth fir houses a spiral staircase, leading to an aerial walkway that includes a special tribute to the couple's beloved French Bulldog, custom made by Pete.
