Story
John managed to leave the time machine in 1918 Bois de Boulogne to attend a Parisian cafe before Martin can recall it. Wells insists to travel after him alone, rightly fearing Jack the Ripper will stop at nothing to save his illegitimate son, mobilized noble young doctor Henry Ayers, who is to die from German fire that day. H.G. fails to talk John out of risking a time rip and is the one getting arrested as suspected spy instead.
