Story
C.C. is taking a cooking class. Anyone who eats her cooking is taking their life in their own hands. It looks like Maxwell might have come down with food poisoning from her cooking. Meanwhile, Fran thinks that Maggie should start working to learn some responsibility. Despite thinking she is still a little too young, Maxwell allows her to do so but doesn't want her to take a paying job that someone who needs the money would be better suited. So she ends up getting a volunteer job candy striping. At first, Maggie is nervous about causing anguish to sick patients (as is Maxwell), but Maggie ends up loving the job. But when Maggie's boyfriend wants to go out on one of Maggie's volunteer nights, Maggie co-opts Fran to work for her. Neither Fran or Maggie tell Maxwell that Maggie is shirking her responsibility in this matter. But they may not need to tell him as he is admitted to the hospital - apparently not with food poisoning but appendicitis - into the exact room where Fran is hiding ...
