Story
Max is delighted, unlike moping Miranda, the next case is on the island's reputed stud farm and manege Rancho del Rey, where someone stole from the Rey family by copying the magnetic cash register data with a reader found in the office of Jose Rey, who is to take over management and modernize the family firm when his grandfather Xisco Rey retires, soon. Jose and his mother deny any guilt, although his fancy management degree came not from overseas but was obtained in Spanish jail for white collar crimes. Jose flees on horseback, having been found holding the knife used to stab Xisco to death. Stablemaster Javier Santos, who taught Jose all about horses, and whose daughter Belia is engaged to Jose, guides the insecure detectives, whose rears are tested in the saddle while they search for Jose's childhood hiding places on rough grounds. He's found dangling over a ravine, rescued and convincingly pleads innocence. Back on the ranch, the case is solved.
