Story
An invitation is issued in the Globe newspaper by the Cattlemen's Convention at the Dodge City Opera House to speak. Saloon girl Gertie tells Kate Holliday for a $100 about a plan by Texas cattlemen to kill Earp when he speaks. Kate and Doc warn Earp who decides to search everyone attending for guns. The search causes the hired men to try to gun Earp and his deputies outside but they fail. Earp knows Lon Ashby is probably the instigator but he has no proof. Ashby keeps the pressure on Earp to speak but Earp initially declines to appear at the meeting. Ashby has his men hide guns in the floor. Judge Tobin and Mayor Kelley worry that Earp may be becoming soft and scared. Earp has to make a decision as Doc and Kate try to dissuade him. In the end Earp's last words are: "This is really going to take courage."
