Story
After his information has allowed the Saxons to defeat the Vikings in battle Uhtred wins the admiration of Alfred, who becomes king after the death of his brother Aethelred . Uhtred continues to gain Saxon respect as he agrees to train Alfred's warriors and to eventually assist in negotiating a peace treaty with the Danes. Not everybody is impressed by him however. Warrior Leofric is clearly resentful of his new found status whilst Brida sees him as collaborating with the enemy and points out that he could be facing Ragmar's son in battle.
