Story
The prosecutor suspends Sheriff Trout pending an investigation into Stiles's death. Thom returns to The Lair and learns Damien is missing. At Frau von Hess's house, she finally reveals herself to be a vampire and tells Damien the reason for her personal grudge against him: years earlier, Damien killed and turned Von Hess' son into a vampire who then bit and turned her before she killed him. Meanwhile, Thom is confronted by Athan who demands Carter Vane's head. Athan attempts to turn Thom into stone, but the magical ring protects Thom from the Gorgon's eyes. Thom goes to Harris to retrieve the head. Growing impatient, Thom goes to the back of Harris's shop to find that the head has killed him. Also, Frankie finds Damien and convinces him to accept mortality. In Damien's absence, Colin dispatches Gary to lure away the patrons of The Lair.
