Story
Blue has developed a hobby and love of drawing but with a style of his own. The men tease him about his style but he proves he can also draw realistic pictures as well. However, Big John is concerned he is ignoring his ranch work to draw creating friction. Blue decides to stop drawing and gives Victoria his drawings. Without his knowledge she submits them to a publisher in the east who uses the work and pays Blue. With the encouragement, Blue continues his drawing but is shot on guard duty when the Apaches steal a herd of cattle as he draws a stallion. He feels he cannot be trusted although Big John's only concern is that Blue is okay. Blue reveals to Big John he has received a job offer back east at $75 a week plus the ability to take classes. Feeling he can't do the ranch job properly, Blue decides to take the offer. Everyone is unhappy to see him go but Big John especially who wants Blue to take over the ranch eventually.
