Story
Having dinner with Doris and Peter at her place, Cy remarks straight to their faces that they look like they are in domestic bliss and should get married. Both Peter and Doris are happy with the state of their relationship as is, without feeling the need to get married. That status may change when Doris works on a profile story for the magazine on anthropologist turned novelist Eric Stewart, who is in San Francisco for the article. Eric and Doris spend a lot of time together while he is in town. When Eric injures himself, Doris suggests that he go see a doctor friend of hers, namely Peter. Eric, not knowing Peter and Doris' relationship status beyond the fact that he is a friend of hers, confides in him that he sees with Doris a potential relationship. Doris fosters that relationship with Eric if only for the good of the story. Both Peter and Doris have to decide what to do about their own relationship in light of Eric's entrance into the picture.
