Story
Phyllis phones Elizabeth with the news that Lady Alice is gravely ill. The Bournes worry about Arthur, missing after leaving Freiburg to return to England. Charles confides to Phyllis that three Englishmen have been attacked during unrest in Hamburg, but the names haven't been released. A suspicious Elizabeth learns that Rosemary failed to return from England as well. Alice fears she won't leave to see Arthur again.
