Story
Betsy von Bremmer, a new student, attaches herself to Jessica by founding the Jessica Wakefield Fan Club. Betsy saw Jessica in Winston's student film and has wanted to be as pretty and popular as Jessica ever since. Jessica tires of Betsy's constant clinging and ends their friendship. Betsy appeals to Jessica's vanity by suggesting she meet her father, a director, who is casting for his next project. Jessica is disappointed to discover Mr. von Bremmer is a director of infomercials for such products as "Potato Peeler Acne Healer". An anonymous caller to the Dr. Lovelorn radio show, "Single in Sweet Valley", confides his fear that he's lost the love of his life. The girls convince Liz to listen and Enid goes so far as to answer "Single's" letter and arrange a meeting for the two. Liz is surprised to meet Todd, and he is just as surprised to see Liz.
