Story
The Svensson family has an old, right-hand driven, yellow postal car, which often stalls. Lena, Lina and Max try to convince Gustav to by a new car, but in vain. Gustav is very much attached to his old car, because it's the only benefit he ever got from his employment at the Post Office, and because it's a Swedish car, a Volvo made in 1978. After much arguing he is persuaded to make a trial run with a new Japanese car. He agrees that this car is very good, but it doesn't appeal to his feelings, and he also thinks it's important to support Swedish motor industry. In the evening he has a surprise for his family: he has bought a new car. They are happy and run to the door, only to find out that it's a brown Volvo 242, made in 1982, and without a starting motor.
