Story
As Christmas approaches Aunty Brenda, in her capacity of mayor, invites Horst, her opposite number in Pontybery's twin town, the fifth largest in Lapland to come over whilst another visitor is Michael's sister Val, who fusses over the pregnant Stella rather too much. There are also possible departures in the air as Ivan asks Nadine to leave Karl and run away with him and Luke sees Rob, possibly for the last time, as his father undergoes life-saving surgery. There are also star guests, including one of Pontybery's most famous adopted sons Scott Quinnell and folk singers Kate Rusby and Damien O'Kane, in response to Stella's request for a name to switch on the Christmas lights.
