Story
Christmas is coming, Glen and Marj have their own nativity stall with their own donkey and Daddy is retiring from the undertakers. Stella is hoping to host Michael's parents but when his father breaks a leg Michael is called away to Wolverhampton and Stella is left with her squabbling offspring plus Karl and Nadine to entertain so she channels her energies into working on the children's ward, meeting foul-mouthed, embittered eleven year old Billy, a long term patient facing another operation. He believes he is going to die but Stella takes him home and shows him what he has to live for, being there for him after his operation.
