Story
When Vince goes AWOL, TJ persuades his girlfriend, Julie, to help out in the restaurant. Sparks fly when Karen gets wind of it - she is insanely jealous, and determined to do anything she can to get Julie fired. Spotting a bag lady in the street, Karen tells her to appeal to Julie for some free food; when Julie relents, a delighted Karen sacks her on the spot. Meanwhile, Spatz is having a new fire alarm fitted, but the cheap system keeps malfunctioning and sounding the alarm when there isn't a fire. That night, Karen is staying late, and goes to make herself some toast. Shortly afterwards, when the alarm goes off, she ignores it and eventually falls asleep. But there is, of course, a fire, which is spotted by Julie and TJ on their way home from the theatre. Julie rescues Karen, TJ forces Karen to apologise, and the staff are given a week off while the restaurant is renovated.
