Story
Kaiser is even more obviously, less implausible, suspect when Gunter Helbig's former cellmate Edgar Bogner's corpse floats in the river Neckar, just after declaring he saw Kaiser leave Helbig's home in the murder night. The team hopes to prove a double set-up. Edgar Bogner's naive pen friend turned financially supportive partner Nele Gerster was frustrated he didn't come trough romantically. Helbig's brother Ulf Schenk and his wife Sabine fail to cover up Edgar attacked her, demanding the hidden jewelry loot. Kaiser goes trough his old cases with Friedemann Sonntag, convinced the jeweler's widow Katja Diefenbach must be out on vengeance. Selma's Brazilian would be-lover Manuel Fechner comes surprisingly close in an unsuspected quality.
