Story
A sabotaged spotlight kills star lead Leopold Strasser during the dress rehearsal of Kleist-piece "Der zerbrochne Krug". Self-righteous divo Leopold was generally disliked, even ignored ambitious director Daan Wachtel. He constantly heckled prompter Hanna Becker publicly, and arranged the casting of his untalented, attractive flame and lover Beatrice Reimann, who dumped him for fellow actor Frieder Becker. Yet Leopold's past provides the crucial clue.
