Story
Elaine escapes from her screwy pair of kidnappers but one fires at her. Corinne tells Tim about the baby and he is excited until he finds out she is five months along. Chuck and Bob confound some of the Campbells with a new act; sensible Mary shakes her head. As they wait for Elaine, Mary confronts Burt about having an affair and he confronts her about the professor. Burt asks Mary's forgiveness when he learns what happened; Burt told Mary he slept with an old, fat woman. Jessica is ready to fire Det. Donahue because she has feelings for him. He charms her into not firing him (and a kiss) until Benson gets ahold of him. Benson tells George Donahue if he hurts Jessica, he must answer to Benson. George convinces Benson he really cares for Jessica and Benson believes him, letting George make them both cocktails. Elaine finally makes it home, but she has been shot.
