Story
A British army recruitment squad comes to Paterson's Ridge looking for volunteers. With life on the farm a little dull, Rob shows some interest in joining up. Ruth and Kathleen are vehemently opposed and even the recruiting officer can't understand why Rob would want to leave Paterson's Ridge. Meanwhile, Ruth believes the recruitment team may be coercing men into enlisting.
