Story
Kate Blair, her son Dan and partner Chris Chandler are shot dead during a river-side picnic and the evidence points DCI Sally Butcher towards arresting Kate's embittered ex-husband Miles. Chris had taken a photograph of drugs stashed in Miles' club and local resident Claudia Baxter identified him as being in the area. Soon to retire police officer Malcolm Guillam is reminded of the unsolved murder of Karen Myers in the same spot years earlier - before making a grisly and costly discovery. Meanwhile doctor Amy Coulter, the last person to see Karen before her murder and a friend of Nikki, is drawn into performing an apparently illegal operation.
