Story
Daniel has been opening some of Barbara's mail (he finally convinced her to work from home while she heals) and discovers that McCallum Real Estate is in real financial trouble. He tells Emma they need to make some cuts and he has an idea - firing their eighty-four-year old receptionist Mrs. Marsh. Emma is horrified. How could Daniel fire a woman who has known him his whole life and who has worked at the business since the beginning? Plus, she's just about the sweetest lady ever. There has to be another way. Daniel concedes that if the accountant they're meeting later has any better ideas he'll go for them. Emma is happy with this and suggests they brainstorm over lunch - and they could, if Daniel wasn't already having lunch with Grace. These days Grace and Daniel are officially boyfriend and girlfriend.
