Story
The Avonlea Founder's Day banquet will be held at the White Sands Hotel. Because of the extra work required to get ready for the banquet, the hotel's new owner, Simon Tremayne, is looking to hire a right hand man. He decides to hire Felix who comes looking for a job. Felix can do so because Alec has absolved him of all his chores at the farm since Alec has given up on Felix, who could barely remember what his chores were let alone do them. Beyond getting paid to do work, Felix likes much about his new job, especially the fact that Mr. Tremayne treats him like a responsible person. What Felix doesn't like about the job is that he is in the middle in the battles between Mr. Tremayne and the rest of the staff, including his friend Gus. Meanwhile, the Duke of Arranagh is on Prince Edward Island, visiting many communities on his official rounds.
